CENTER FOR
CLINICAL EXCELLENCE
The BJC Center for Clinical Excellence comprises diverse
health care professionals, including epidemiologists,
analysts, computer programmers, industrial engineers
and quality consultants.
The Center provides leadership in quality assessment and
health services research throughout BJC HealthCare, as all
BJC hospitals service organizations strive to continually
improve the quality of services offered to patients,
including best practices in infection control, patient
safety and rapid alert systems.
As trusted agents and advisers, the Center’s goals are to enable
rapid deployment of best practices, and to foster an environment
of trust and system-wide excellence for BJC’s 14 hospitals.
The Center – or “CCE” – strives to be results-oriented, reliable,
transparent, respectful and objective. CCE’s six departments
include Access to Outcomes, Clinical Advisory Group, Healthcare
Informatics, Healthcare Innovation Lab, Patient Care Systems,
and Transformation Support.
HEALTH CARE INNOVATION LAB
In service of BJC HealthCare and Washington University School of Medicine, the Healthcare Innovation Lab catalyzes care delivery innovation through research and development. We define innovation as a new idea that, when implemented, creates value. As leaders in care delivery innovation, we fundamentally change care delivery for our patients and communities based on user need and rigorous testing.
