    Role Purpose

    This position serves as the space planning/program manager for BJH, works closely with the campus renewal team and assists PD&C on strategic programming initiatives. Manages system/BJH standards relative to furniture/finishes and plans and manages misc. construction and facility appearance projects. Provides assistance with operational initiatives related to facilities & support services.


  • Manage space requests to ensure the optimization of space utilization in alignment with the hospital strategic space plan and customer requirements. Provides direction on space negotiations, lease transactions and tenant improvements in leased spaces. Responsible for managing the yearly updates to the HSO space plan documentation.
  • Manage the furniture selections and develops a replacement program. Works with BJC designers on developing standards and testing new products and finishes. Develops the facility appearance program to ensure timely updates to finishes and furnishings.
  • Leads and directs project teams of architects, end users and contractors through the schematic, design and construction document phases. Ensures the program needs are met while adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements. Directs projects to meet deadlines and budget constraints. Independently manages small to midsize projects with a total capital project of $3.6M.
  • Manages all departmental moves and relocations to ensure smooth transitions. Develops move schedules timed with the construction completions and owner furnished installations.
  • Develops executive level presentations outlining project costs and execution strategy. Participates in the capital planning and multi-year model development.
