Role Purpose

Participates in development and leadership of:
• System service-lines
• Clinical expert groups
• Focused quality/safety improvement efforts
• Focused value-based care efforts
• Additional workstreams supporting clinical integration such as practice standards, protocols and policy development, or system supply and resource issues as needed

The priority of this work is to improve essential aspects of patient care (quality, efficiency, outcomes, and safety) by designing, developing, modifying, and implementing new processes and technology across BJC.


  • Participates in and provides oversight of the portfolio management for one or more system service-lines or clinical expert groups, including maintenance of tools and documents used in project work and project management (i.e. charters, roadmaps, accomplishments, objectives)
  • Has extensive experience in and applies project management, facilitation, and communication skills/tools in managing clinical expert groups, projects, meetings, and communication.
  • Has experience in and applies fundamental change management techniques, systems thinking methods and targeted problem-solving skills to promote deeper understanding of systems/processes and opportunities for improvement that will result in delivery of safe, effective, affordable, and patient-centered care.
  • Collaborates with and provides oversight for service-line teams and/or clinical expert groups focused on redesigning processes/systems based on best practice in order to drive operational excellence.
  • Provides oversight of design and implementation of data collection plans, including metric/tool development. Analyzes data to identify opportunities for improvement and to evaluate success of quality improvement interventions.
