    Role Purpose

    Provides business function/application support for the business usage of enterprise health information management (HIM) applications to include coding, clinical documentation improvement (CDI), HIM operations and other related applications. HIM Enterprise Application systems analyst must provide accurate, quality analyses of current and/or new program applications, as well as conduct testing, locate potential problems, and solve them in an efficient manner to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of HIM processes.


  • Works with Manager to identify and recommend process or operational areas requiring redesign or improvement, develops project plans, facilitates meetings to accomplish the identified tasks, and documents and builds project outputs and workflows.
  • Creates, maintains and executes test plans for application upgrades/new releases and coordinates end-to-end (unit and/or integrated) application testing.
  • Addresses and resolves technology-related inquiries, incidents and requests using BJC’s incident reporting and tracking tool.
  • Develops and maintains policies and procedures, training material(s), and other application-specific documentation supported by the RCM Enterprise HIM Applications team.
  • Uses SQL and other analytical technology to collect and manage data to provide analysis required to support business operations. Collects data and identifies opportunities for improvement to assure efficient and optimized use of HIM technology.
