Overview


Role Purpose

Responsible for managing a philanthropy team and maximizing donor contributions to the Foundation. Working in collaboration with Foundation leadership, oversees the qualification, cultivation, and solicitation of lead annual, event, major, and planned gift prospects and donors. Utilizes knowledge of health care philanthropy, clinical partnerships, and a variety of gifting instruments to ensure all fundraising programs are integrated strategically, aligned to move donors through a continuum of increasingly larger contributions consistent with the vision and timelines outlined by leadership.


Responsibilities

  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Responsible for the team's development, integration, execution and assessment of philanthropic strategies for annual, event, major and planned giving.
  • Works with directors to develop ongoing strategies, timelines, objectives, and metrics for the philanthropy and clinical partner portfolios for measuring progress toward goals and ensuring accountability.
  • Ensures philanthropy strategies are well communicated and integrated within the work unit and with other departments and colleagues.
  • Manages a portfolio of clinical partners, individual major and planned gift donors and prospects.
  • Plans, manages and monitors the major and planned gift department budgets.
