Overview


Role Purpose

Leads the research and analysis team and promotes clinical and service quality through the production of meaningful analysis and research of system performance. Provides guidance to the team in delivering insightful and actionable results through analysis and research. Serves as the main research and analysis point contact for clinical and service quality needs for BJC HealthCare. Contributes in shaping the strategic vision for analytic needs across the system. Reports to the Director of HealthCare Analytics.


Responsibilities

  • Manages performance analysis activities, epidemiologic investigations, and conducts research studies at the system level.
  • Provides consultation to internal and external customers on measurement-related topics, analytical approaches and develops strategies to analytically support key decisions.
  • Proactively identifies areas for analytical opportunities across all of BJC, prioritizes and coordinates efforts across BJC, and provides guidance for future strategic and tactical needs.
  • Interacts proactively and effectively with the business and leads the business intelligence supervisors and developers on a daily basis to ensure high quality deliverables.
  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
