Physician Recruitment provides support to the strategic and operational objectives of BJC Medical Group practices and is located in Town & Country.


Role Purpose

Responsible for all physician and advanced practice provider (APP) recruitment efforts system wide, including recruitment for our clinics, Hospital Service Organizations, and community support efforts. This will be achieved by owning the recruitment process from start to finish including advertising opportunities, sourcing (including management of third party partners/resources), pre-screening candidates, on-site interview scheduling and facilitation, contract negotiations and keeping up to date on current physician recruitment strategies and best practices.


  • Source physician and/or advanced practice provider candidates through multiple channels, including management of third party partnerships/relationships to meet demands of ongoing search needs.
  • Pre-screen candidates for required parameters including training, behavioral and organizational culture fit. Participate in discussions with operations and clinical leadership to define desired/required fit.
  • Serve as the primary contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process including pre-screening, on-site interviews, offer and contract negotiations. Continue candidate involvement to aid in organizational retention efforts.
  • Prepare/maintain recruitment metrics reports for assigned regions and/or searches as needed/requested. Present and interpret data as part of multi-disciplinary team discussions to improve physician and APP recruitment efforts.
  • Participate in hospital, physician, and operational leadership teams in physician recruitment strategy meetings as needed.
