Memorial Hospital Belleville is a 222-bed, full-service hospital serving southwest Illinois. The goal of the Plant Operations/Maintenance Depatment is to provide a safe, comfortable, compliant physical environment.  The Plant Operations/Maintenance department performs routine repair and maintenance and renders services essential to hospital, office buildings and off-site services.


Overview

Role Purpose

Provides Maintenance and Engineering service and responds to service calls throughout the healthcare facility . Performs accurate and effective repairs on equipment and building systems. Calls in more qualified personnel when repairs are beyond his/her capability. Performs other tasks as directed by the General Maintenance Shop Lead and Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures all aspects of preventative maintenance are completed on schedule and according to department standards and procedures.
  • Keeps equipment clean and operational.
  • Performs troubleshooting and repairs on building equipment and systems as assigned.
  • Maintains documentation in regards to facility equipment and systems, ensuring all necessary documentation is current and up-to-date for all applicable regulatory agencies.
  • BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
