Overview


Role Purpose

Assists the department leadership in coordinating the development, design, execution, production and implementation of events, activities and associated materials that promote the communications, marketing and education goals of BJC HealthCare, its hospitals and/or services including community engagement, business development, education, prevention and/or employee appreciation and recognition. In the absence of the department manager, this position is responsible for oversight of Marketing activities. Takes primary responsibility for development, designing, executing and producing event materials and/or messaging to support the organization's business and corporate goals and objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages and evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Integrates current change management concepts and strategies into all team responsibilities and communications/communications and marketing deliverables.
  • Identifies metrics to measure effectiveness of campaigns/projects/events. Analyzes results, prepares reports to support planning initiatives & recommends improvements. Counsels teams and clients on best practices.
  • When appropriate for the department, manages strategic marketing partnerships with sports teams, and local/regional organizations and entities.
  • Strengthens existing events and activities platforms, channels and vehicles, and leverages best practices to initiate and develop more effective and efficient community and/or employee events.
  • Supports senior team leadership in managing external vendor relationships and deliverables relative to community and/or employee events and activities.
