Boone Hospital Center is a 394-bed full service hospital located in Columbia, MO. It is a regional referral center located in the center of the state. Overview
Role Purpose Responsible for providing financial counseling services. Collection of copays and deposits from patients. Completes an initial assessment of the patient to determine if they qualify for Medicaid assistance. Works with the patients/families to obtain the required information, documentation, signatures and negotiations. Assists patients as needed with completing forms for Charity application. Follows up with patients to assure compliance. Reviews accounts for accuracy to assure maximum reimbursement for the Hospital.
