Alton Memorial Hospital, in Illinois, is a full-service acute-care hospital serving patients in a seven county area. Alton Memorial offers inpatient and outpatient services including surgery, imaging, rehabilitation and 24-hour emergency care.

The Operating Room is made up of 7 General rooms, one Cysto room, and one Minor procedure room.  Staffed from 0700 till 1700 Monday-Friday with all other hours and days covered with a Call Crew.


Overview


Role Purpose

Responsible for coordinating and posting procedures to the operating room schedule including registration of patients and clinical data entry. Responsible for the daily surgery schedule. Responsible for logging cases and patient charges relevant to the OR. Answers phones and directs calls appropriately.


Responsibilities

  • Maintains accurate Surgery schedule.
  • Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Ensures operational efficiency within the surgery department.
