    Boone Hospital Center is a 394-bed full service hospital located in Columbia, MO. It is a regional referral center located in the center of the state. The hospital provides progressive healthcare programs, services, and technology to people in 26 mid-Missouri counties. Although the hospital is full service, areas in which Boone Hospital Center excels are cardiology, neurology, oncology, surgical, obstetrical services, and numerous other specialties.     The Diagnostic Radiology Department at Boone Hospital Center utilizes the latest in technology to provide quality images for our patients. The Radiology department provides quality care to both out patients and in patients. The radiology department includes a variety of digital and computed radiography, fluoroscopy, and mobile radiography.


    Overview

    Role Purpose

    Assists the Medical Imaging Technologist with performing radiographic procedures to adult and pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders.

    Responsibilities

  • Assists the technologist with procedures and performs limited procedures with direct supervision by a technologist or radiologist. 
  • Assists with getting patients on and off the table while in diagnostic services.
  • Assists outpatients with completing information necessary to the procedure.
  • BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
