Overview

Role Purpose

Provides patient care essential to radiographic procedures and renders services utilizing various imaging modalities and performs radiographic and other related imaging procedures, producing images for interpretation by a physician. Coordinates and maintains American College of Radiology (ACR) accreditation, coordinates all quality assurance activities for imaging equipment, and maintains and organizes continuing staff education.

Responsibilities

  • Completes registration and prepares patients for procedures.
  • Performs radiographic imaging examinations. 
  • Coordinates activities associated with attaining or maintaining accreditation.
  • Manages the quality assurance process in compliance with the accreditation and hospital guidelines.
  • Organizes and maintains continuing medical education requirements staff technologists and coordinates the education of staff on all current and new procedures.
  • BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
