The Surgical Care Center provides for wound and ostomy care, pre surgical assessment, post surgical follow up and support for podiatry services.¿ The Surgical Care Center works closely with Physical Therapy, Orthopedic Foot and Ankle, General Surgery, Diabetic Foot/Vascular, Colorectal, and Plastics. The center is staffed with Advanced Practice Nurses with a collaborative practice agreement with the Burn/Trauma Services and Colorectal Physicians. Overview
Role Purpose The Medical Assistant (MA) provides patient care under the direction of a specialty physician or other licensed provider. Performs select duties for the promotion of health in the care of patients and delivers care according to practice protocols and procedures.
