Christian Hospital has a progressive pharmacy that offers many professionally challenging opportunities to impact patient care. The pharmacy services both Christian Hospital and Northwest HealthCare. The pharmacy staff oversee cutting edge automation in medication distribution systems. Our pharmacists provide clinical services including participation in patient rounds, nutritional therapy services, screening patients daily for change in renal functions and adjusting the dosage accordingly. The pharmacists work in a team-structured environment with other healthcare professionals 24 hours a day.
Our Northwest HealthCare campus, located six miles west of Christian Hospital in Florissant, offers the community 24-hour emergency care as well as a variety of outpatient services and physician practices.
Overview
Role Purpose Under the direct supervision of staff pharmacists, according to standard procedures, assists in dispensing and transporting medications, begins an introduction to non-sterile and/or sterile compounding and maintains appropriate records.
