The labor and delivery unit has been internationally honored for its quality and safety in caring for both uncomplicated and high-risk patients. Nurses are offered specialized education in high-risk obstetrical nursing through a perinatal fellowship program. The 23-bed unit offers private, family-friendly rooms, two operating rooms and a treatment room dedicated to Cesarean delivery. The unit also provides direct access to our Level II special care nursery or the Level I NICU at St. Louis Children's Hospital.
