Progress West HealthCare Center opened in February 2007 in one of the fastest-growing areas of St. Charles County. Progress West uses hospital design, clinical practices and technology to support the delivery of patient-centered care. The inpatient Pharmacy department is located in the lower level of the hospital, however, our clinical pharmacist work side by side with the Patient Care Team at the patients bedside providing expertise and education to both the clinicians they work with as well as the patients. This department, along with all departments within the hospital, supports the guiding principles of the hospital in providing care that is customized and reflects the patient's needs, values, and choices.
Overview
Role Purpose Under the direct supervision of staff pharmacists, according to standard procedures, assists in dispensing and transporting medications, begins an introduction to non-sterile and/or sterile compounding and maintains appropriate records.
