BJC Home Care Services offers patients and their families a complete range of home care services, including skilled nursing services, adult and pediatric hospice and supportive care, rehabilitation therapy, home infusion therapy, infusion treatment rooms, home medical equipment and high-tech respiratory care. Specialty home care programs also are available, including adult and pediatric asthma, cardiac, diabetes, orthopedic and wound care programs as well as the Lifeline emergency response system. BJC Home Care Services provides care to thousands of patients in both Missouri and Illinois. Serving more than 25 counties, it has become the largest home care network in the region and one of the largest in the country.

Overview


Role Purpose

Provides pro-active human resource strategic planning and consultation directly connected to the immediate and long-term business needs of the assigned client organization. Serves as a member of the executive leadership team contributing to the leadership in support of the organizations initiatives and reports directly to the hospital/HSO President. Provides leadership and direction on a variety of HR functions, with an emphasis on change management, organizational development, compensation, employee and/or physician relations and talent management. Serves as BJC's resident expert in Labor Relations, leading the Proactive Employee Relations initiative for the system.


Responsibilities

  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Develops and maintains an effective strategic partnership with hospital/HSO management to ensure proactive employee relations are maintained.
  • Consults with hospital/HSO leaders in the foundational human resources management areas of employee relations, compensation, performance management, coaching, and workforce planning.
  • Partners with colleagues to leverage best practices and consistency with human resources programs and practices.
  • Manages and monitors overall effectiveness of change management and communication efforts, in addition to identifying and sharing best practices.
  • Provides oversight and management of internal employee communications, occupational health services, and employee education.
  • Acts as a liaison with corporate human resources departments and related services, advocating and representing the needs of the hospital/HSO.
