Our Northwest HealthCare campus, located six miles west of Christian Hospital in Florissant, offers the community 24-hour emergency care as well as a variety of outpatient services and physician practices.

The VP of Medical Affairs Department is a liaison between the medical staff, the hospital's administrative leadership and BJC HealthCare. The Department organizes and leads the medical staff to build strategic business alliances with the Hospital.


Role Purpose

Performs activities related to the entities and other affiliated instruction's credential verification process for initial and reappointment applications for medical staff and allied health professionals. Provides support to Credentialing Lead and may oversee additional responsibilities in the absence of the credentialing.


  • Verifies that credentials of medical staff, mid-level, and allied health professionals are in compliance with regulatory bodies, federal, and state agencies.
  • Maintains accurate data in credential database and permanent credential files.
  • Collaborates with medical staff and leadership to ensure credentialing and processing standards are being met.
  • Provides credentialing reports and maintains data integrity within credentialing systems.
  • Facilitates problem solving and operating system boards while participating in sub-committees created for ongoing process improvement
