The hospital provides progressive healthcare programs, services, and technology to people in 26 mid-Missouri counties. Although the hospital is full service, areas in which Boone Hospital Center excels are cardiology, neurology, oncology, surgical, obstetrical services, and numerous other specialties. Overview


Role Purpose

Responsible for providing best-in-class learning and educational programs for BJC employees. Individual program management portfolio responsibilities vary among requirements for: online, facilitated, internal, outreach, intergenerational bridging and mentoring, professional and workforce development, and ongoing personal improvement areas of focus.


Responsibilities

  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages and evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Develops and adheres to department staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Expertise in a primary subject, either Learning and/or Organizational Effectiveness, depending on primary responsibilities being more centralized (learning) or field-based (organizational effectiveness).
  • Partners with other leaders and providing process consultation to assess needs, design and develop solutions, implement interventions and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Identifies learning drivers of key business outcomes and developing both learning content across levels of the organization. Skilled at establishing learning activities delivered through multiple channels that achieve learning drivers.
  • Develops standardized processes across the system that consistently deliver targeted learning and organizational effectiveness services.
  • Demonstrates strategic thought leadership, identifying the critical few services to provide in order to achieve business objectives. Tolerates uncertainty and has bias for action. Practices standard change management tactics and is able to create highly engaged partners in a change endeavor.
