The Research Administration team coordinates all patient research activities at Missouri Baptist in accordance with regulatory guidelines and utilization of hospital resources.


Overview


Role Purpose

Administers the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and all compliance programs related to the operation of the research program including serving as the primary contact for human subject issues. May assist in the management of the research programs.


Responsibilities

  • Serves as a liaison and a resource between investigators, research staff, hospital administration, federal agencies and the Institutional Review Board.
  • Audits and advises investigators and research staff in the preparation and completeness of materials submitted.
  • Ensures local policies, state and federal regulations are being followed concerning human subjects in research.
  • Prepares continuing education materials on regulatory protocol and ethical issues.
  • Provides administrative support.
