    Boone Hospital Center is a 394-bed full service hospital located in Columbia, MO. It is a regional referral center located in the center of the state. The hospital provides progressive healthcare programs, services, and technology to people in 26 mid-Missouri counties.     Overview


    Role Purpose

    Planning, implementing, maintaining and evaluating the Pharmacy Information System. Duties include training of staff, acting as liaison to other departments such as Financial Services, Laboratory, Nursing, Patient Accounts and Information Systems, to the IS vendor and to outside vendors that impact the Pharmacy Department's Information Systems.


    Responsibilities

  • Develops, maintains and supports Pharmacy Information Systems.
  • Maintains medication ordering in automation systems.
  • Supports departmental budgeting and financial analysis and hospital projects using computer generated data.
  • Partners with BJC Information Systems to provide Pharmacy Information Systems project management during systems implementations, upgrades and enhancements.
