Through telephone and internet vehicles, expands consumer and physician access to BJC¿s hospitals and corporate service lines. Includes 24/7 operation of multidisciplinary call centers that handle over 450,000 physician and consumer calls a year. Includes SLCH Children's Direct Physician Accessl Line/Transfer Center, which, in partnership with WUSM provides services including transfers, direct admits Transport Team dispatch, phone consults, referrals to/appointment for WUSM clinics, patient information, etc. generating incremental volume and margin to the system, enhanced communication with physicians and clients and high physician/patient satisfaction. Also delivers market research and customer relationship management activities.


Overview


Role Purpose

Coordinates the clinical requirements necessary for enhancing the Information systems used that promote professional clinical practice. Provides the system testing and ongoing support of those systems. Communicates ongoing CIS enhancements with various user groups and evaluates the need for system upgrades based on user needs. Evaluates the customer needs on a frequent basis and manages the user request process. Serves as a liaison in planning the design of clinical information systems.


Responsibilities

  • Maintains, supports and implements system upgrades, in addition to obtaining and inputting data from various systems and providing reports or audits as requested by management.
  • Serves as a contact for questions about data reporting and interpretation.
  • Maintains system security, and grants access to systems, applications, and databases.
  • Manages the design and production of requested reports.
  • Maintains, updates, and audits data collection tools and definitions.
