Administration provides leadership in developing and implementing BJWCH's strategic plan, managing the community, physician and employee relationships; positioning BJWCH for managed care and service as a link between BJC Healthcare and the local community.


Overview


Role Purpose

Reporting to the President, this position is a member of the hospital executive team, providing leadership and strategic direction for financial operations, planning and business development. This position also oversees facilities, registration, and Health Information Management.


Responsibilities

  • Directs operations of Finance team and integrates services within department and with other departments or system, identifying recommendations for improvements in revenue cycle operations and identifies issues and solves to improve the hospital's unit cost performance.
  • Shapes strategy by developing future plans, projects and budgets, recognizing when there's a need for a strategic shift.
  • Oversees the financial analysis, evaluation and administrative oversight of the business relationships with the Washington University School of Medicine.
  • Manages the operating and capital budgeting processes for the hospital, including monitoring of actual costs against budgets.
  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Assists leadership and departments in understanding the financial performance of the organization, using financial data to assist in making operational decisions.
  • Ensures the timely completion and analysis of the monthly financial results for the organization.
