Role Purpose

The Talent Services Coordinator supports BJC-wide hiring efforts by qualifying future and current employees through our credentialing and onboarding processes. This includes administering the compliance program from the time that a candidate accepts the offer of employment until their first day of work.


Responsibilities

  • Schedules post offer assessments and appointments for prospective hires. Occupational Health, Background Checks, onboarding appointments and HSO specific orientation are scheduled. Collects and communicates outcomes from appointments to stakeholders as required.
  • Administers our pre-hire background check process and assesses results for compliance. Receives and reviews occupational health results to ensure prospective hires are clear and ready to be processed. Dispositions prospective hires in PeopleSoft after ensuring all necessary compliance checks are complete and clear.
  • Facilitates onboarding appointments. Provides instruction and guidance on what to expect moving forward in the hiring process. Gathers and vets required forms. Ensures prospective hire information is organized and prepared for New Employee Orientation including badge information and appropriate rosters.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for critical onboarding information. Communicates welcome letters, forms related to I9, benefits, culture, security, parking and other relative onboarding items needed to ensure prospective hire is well informed and in compliance with policy and regulations. Answers questions and provides instruction/guidance as needed.
  • Provides excellent customer service to prospective hires and internal stakeholders. Provides excellent customer service through efficient scheduling of post-offer processes, answering questions with a welcoming attitude, ensuring communications are timely and informative. All communications are conducted in a professional and friendly manner with a primary focus on providing an exceptional experience.
