Overview


Role Purpose

Responsible for developing and implementing systems to monitor and enhance the operations of the research department: securing research opportunities available from Washington University, serves as the primary resource for research funding opportunities and organizing and executing projects to support the office of nursing research.


Responsibilities

  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Liaison between Washington University and Goldfarb Office of Nursing Research: identifying related educational and training program information and funding and collaborative opportunities.
  • Collaborates and assists with processes related to research grant submission and research projects and programs
  • Works as liaison between the dean for research, faculty, staff and students
  • Provides processes to manage, standardize and streamline work through the office

  • Minimum Requirements

     

    Degree

  • High School Diploma or GED
  •  

    Experience

  • 5-10 years
