Role Purpose

Supports and facilitates all aspects of the hospital's credential verification process for initial, provisional, and reappointment applications for medical staff.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and administers the credentialing, privileging and licensure process of medical staff members and allied health providers.
  • Prepares credentialing documents and licensure applications and reviews applications to ensure privileges requested meet requirements.
  • Administers and coordinates contract management, scheduling and billing programs
  • Processes medical staff status changes and residency and fellowship leveling.  
  • Provides medical staff education and facilitates meetings with management as it relates to the medical staff and residency and fellowship credentialing process. 

  • Minimum Requirements

     

    Degree

  • High School Diploma or GED
  •  

    Experience

  • 2-5 years
  •  

    Supervisor Experience

  • No Experience
