Role Purpose

Sets strategy and manages teams to deliver safe, reliable, high quality patient care. Has administrative responsibility for delivery of patient care and facilitation of all activities within the Pediatric ICU, Pulmonary Unit and Vascular Access services, as well as managing the inpatient hospitalist nurse practitioners. Directs the leaders of daily clinical activities in the areas to promote high quality and efficient care of patients. Develops care practices that assure the highest level of safety and quality, patient satisfaction and a strong culture of teamwork among nursing, medical and support personnel.


Responsibilities

  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Ensures the delivery of services meet all professional standards of care within accountable areas of influence at all times.
  • Plans, develops, and directs operations and strategic direction of department and integrates these services with other departments.
  • Sets the department priorities in alignment with the priorities of the organization.
  • Analyzes trends and statistics to promote efficient utilization of resources and promote quality improvement.

    Supervisor Experience

  • 5-10 years

    Licenses & Certifications

  • RN
