Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital offers full inpatient services, including 24-hour physician-staffed emergency, pediatric, obstetric and intensive-care coverage. The hospital also has a Siteman Cancer Center location on campus.

Role Purpose

Plans, organizes, and directs admitting/registration, centralized scheduling, and patient information functions of the Admitting department. Responsibilities include budget planning, staff development, implementation of QI program, policy and procedure development and implementation.


Responsibilities

  • Ensures accurate and efficient patient registration processes. Ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Develops, analyzes, and recommends changes that will improve efficiencies within registration.
  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Reviews registration data and make necessary adjustments to staffing.

    Degree

  • High School Diploma or GED
  •  

    Experience

  • 2-5 years
  •  

    Supervisor Experience

  • < 2 years
