Role Purpose

Responsible for large scale supply chain operational efforts to include; utilization management, operations, vendor relations, and financial oversight. Management of multiple inventory management platforms and processes that can include up to sustainment efforts of BJC system wide inventory system management. Responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling personnel activities at specific entities within the framework and programs established by the System. Leads an operational team utilizing statistical analysis and performance improvement tools to construct and to affect overall service of all departments. Has financial responsibility to determine best value approach for services and support of inventory requirements for BJC departments.


Responsibilities

  • Maintains technical knowledge of statistical and data analysis and troubleshooting techniques to resolve supply chain logistics operations problems or enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Responsible for the operational effectiveness of multiple supply inventory management systems ensuring accurate and timely inventory valuation for finance and executive leadership
  • Drives quality improvement initiatives by analyzing department procedures and serving as the subject matter expert and operational consultant for other field based supply chain operations supervisors and managers.
  • Develops and manages the sustainment of field based supply chain best practices, policies, and procedures to drive results across multiple key performance indicators.
  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Directs the operation of the departments and integrates services within the department and with other departments or the System.
