Christian Hospital is an acute-care community hospital with 220 staffed beds, located in north St. Louis County. Our Northwest HealthCare campus, located six miles west of Christian Hospital in Florissant, offers the community 24-hour emergency care as well as a variety of outpatient services and physician practices.

The marketing and public relations department  plays an integral role in all internal and external communications blanketing physicians, employees, patients and the general public.  The department oversees all messaging, positioning and is a vital resource in service line strategic planning at Christian Hospital.  The marketing and public relations department also oversees all community outreach and health programming held on campus and throughout the communities served.

Role Purpose

Directs and successfully implements all marketing, branding, and special programs sales and positioning throughout BJC HealthCare and the community to best position and strengthen BJC HealthCare's perception/image in the marketplace. Acts as the administrative leader for strategic development to positively influence customer relations with the community.


Responsibilities

  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Develops, directs and oversees the marketing and branding plan and its implementation in support of the organization's purpose and goal.
  • Develops and executes strategies to sell special programs and services to internal and external customers by cultivating business and community partnerships to increase market share for special programs and services.
  • Strategizes and leads marketing and branding initiatives in collaboration with other leaders across the organization.
  • Analyzes marketing data from numerous sources and adjusts future marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Measures and monitors customer satisfaction, process indicators, quality improvement plans and outcomes in all departments.
