Role Purpose

Maintain a professional early childhood education and child care program. Provide resources for curriculum development, staff training and education. Serve as a consultant for children and families regarding educational and developmental needs. Oversee center functions providing high quality standards.


Responsibilities

  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Provides opportunities for parents to be involved in the early childhood program, and provides families with resources for observation, screening, and evaluation for children with suspected special needs.
  • Consults with staff and families regarding child‘s development.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with families.
  • Manages the administrative direction, supervision and coordination of the child development center. Ensures a safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate curriculum and environment.
  • Develops strategic plan for enrollment and orientation of new families, communicating program goals and philosophy, arranging tours, open houses, and ensuring a successful orientation for families.

    Degree

  • Bachelor's Degree

    Experience

  • 2-5 years

    Supervisor Experience

  • < 2 years

    Licenses & Certifications

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
