The Risk Management Department supports the hospital's goals and strategies to provide safe, patient centered, high quality care. Provides information about systemic organization vulnerabilities and analyzes the human, organizational, and systems factors which contribute to adverse events. Collaborates to develop and implement medical error reduction strategies across all departments and patient care units.

Role Purpose

Provides litigation support, risk identification and assessment to the Risk Manager and provide safety support identification to the EH&S Manager.


  • Supports with investigations, analyses and collection of documents, information, and reports in preparation for discovery, and Requests for Production relative to pending litigation and claims.
  • Prepares correspondence regarding claims, investigations and preparations in defense of pending litigation.
  • Performs risk identification and risk assessment on incidents, occurrences and security reports.
  • Provides analysis and reports on clinical data trends.
  • Ensures risk transfer through annual insurance renewal process

  • High School Diploma or GED


  • 2-5 years
