The Metro St. Louis Intermittent Home Care Department of BJC Home Care Services provides home visits to patients in the metropolitan St. Louis area and several nearby counties, with 24 hour on-call home care nursing supervision. Role Purpose

Provides high level, complex oversight and support to the staffing coordinator role. Responsible for the scheduling and coordination of care delivered by a multidisciplinary team in a manner that supports exceptional patient care and best practices. Accountable for knowing home care goals and interests and provides and/or coordinates functions involved with quality improvement processes, programs and services. Acts as a mentor, preceptor and trainer to lead respective team members to ensure high levels of performance.


  • Demonstrates high performance by independently scheduling and coordinating patient visits for a clinical team that maximizes efficiency, staffing resources, and regulatory compliance.
  • Exhibits the ability to manage multifaceted EMR scheduling with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Produces and distributes reports related to clinical data and productivity and acts as a resource to team.
  • In collaboration with the Charge Nurse, coordinates and expedites the work of the clinical team, including assignment oversight and assessing staffing needs and schedules based on work volume and productivity.
  • Evaluates and make recommendations to leadership when changes are necessary for scheduling and operational optimization.
  • Demonstrate the highest standard of customer service, professionalism and perform all duties in a manner consistent with our mission, values and BJC service standards.
