Role Purpose

Review, process, investigate and resolve potential and asserted claims and lawsuits involving System facilities. Assist facility Risk Managers and outside Counsel in gathering, compiling, interpreting and organizing information necessary for defense of lawsuits involving System facilities. Respond to inquiries from facilities regarding subpoenas, release of medical records and appearances at deposition and/or trials. Perform state mandated claims reporting.


  • Provides support to outside firms for the efficient and effective defense of lawsuits filed against assigned areas.
  • Investigates and manages potential and asserted claims involving assigned areas.
  • Compiles information and prepares reports and other documentation involving claims and litigation as needed.
  • Accesses and monitors reserves and expenses on assigned files.
