Role Purpose

Lead and direct the regional supply chain operations for the BJC HealthCare system. This position will be responsible for the strategy to execute supply chain excellence and the day-to-day operations for our acute and non-acute field based organization through influence and interface with the BJC supply chain organization, HSO & shared service leadership teams and system executives.


Responsibilities

  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Directs and leads the day-to-day operations for the field based supply chain operations, distribution and logistics organization to include responsibility for the integration and collaboration with other hospital departments, programs and services.
  • Serves as the key BJC operations liaison to vendors for day-to-day order fulfillment and delivery performance, as well as providing support and guidance for various supply chain projects.
  • Provides leadership and direction for a variety of supply chain initiatives with an emphasis on the Supply Chain Goal Deployment Process (GDP), leading cross-functional teams in support of strategic initiatives, and ensuring business goals are achieved for the entire region.
  • Creates and implements Lean Initiatives to improve quality and eliminate non-value added activity, recommends process improvements based on report data/root-cause analysis and shares best practices across region.
