The Credentialing Verification Organization (CVO) is part of BJC HealthCare's Managed Care department.  The CVO provides effective systems interface with all BJC Medical Staff Offices and establishes collaborative working relationships to ensure JCAHO, NCQA, and URAC compliance issues as they relate to physician credentialing. In addition, this team manages and provides oversight for cross credentialing efforts among BJC member organizations.

Role Purpose

Responsible for collecting provider and healthcare-related data required for internal and regulatory performance measurement.


  • Performs ongoing inter-rater reliability audits to ensure reliability of data, quality and validation checks on automated portion of data collection and participates in the planning and execution of strategies to evaluate alternative, computer-based performance assessments.
  • Identifies and documents root causes of non-compliant performance as they pertain to data abstraction and documentation.
  • Maintains and utilizes credentialing/provider database including data entry, data imports/exports, and report generation.
  • Performs statistical data gathering and generation of various reports for internal and external departments.

  • Bachelor's Degree
