Role Purpose

Oversee and coordinate health disparity data collection, analysis, and management; serve as a resource in the collection, analysis, and interpreting of key data for the purpose of continuous quality improvement and establishment of best practices. Collaborate on the development of key patient centered, equitable care practices and policies. Promote the safety and well-being of patients. Support key Barnes-Jewish Hospital and BJC strategic health disparity initiatives. Support Barnes-Jewish Hospital's efforts around: Clinical Quality, Service Excellence, Financial Performance, and Positioning for the Future.


  • Collaborates on the development of policies and procedures and key initiatives related to cultural competency, health literacy and inclusion.
  • Identifies, develops and implements strategies specific to key projects or organizational needs and evaluates outcomes. Supports targeted health areas through research development, grant funding opportunities, and key partnerships.
  • Supports operations and integrates services within the work unit, with other departments, and hospital initiatives internally and externally.
  • Ensures that quality improvement activities are linked to strategic initiatives.
  • Evaluates and interprets collected clinical data in conjunction with PI as appropriate; prepares oral or written presentations or reports and analyses setting forth progress trends and provides recommendations or conclusions of the same.
