BJC Home Care Services offers patients and their families a complete range of home care services, including skilled nursing services, adult and pediatric hospice and supportive care, rehabilitation therapy, home infusion therapy, infusion treatment rooms, home medical equipment and high-tech respiratory care. Specialty home care programs also are available, including adult and pediatric asthma, cardiac, diabetes, orthopedic and wound care programs as well as the Lifeline emergency response system. BJC Home Care Services provides care to thousands of patients in both Missouri and Illinois. The Metro St. Louis Intermittent Home Care Department of BJC Home Care Services provides home visits to patients in the metropolitan St. Louis area and several nearby counties, with 24 hour on-call home care nursing supervision. Role Purpose

Responsible for the development and implementation of quality management and outcome activities. Provides direction to quality improvement staff. Acts in a consultative and collaborative role with division directors/agencies to ensure compliance with internal, regulatory, accreditation and reimbursement standards and requirements. Provides direction to the WOCN nurses and dietitians on a day to day basis. This position will directly manage the clinical informatics educators.


Responsibilities

  • Acts as the compliance officer for BJC Home Care Services.
  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality, safety, clinical informatics and emergency preparedness programs for all product lines.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates Outcome and Utilization Management activities.
  • Coordinates internal and external surveys and audits and makes recommendations for improvement, ensures compliance with internal, regulator, and accreditation and reimbursement guidelines.
