Role Purpose

The IT Manager, Service Management provides governance for the IT organization for release management, change management, incident management and problem management, and directs the groups and teams that facilitate IT change from the development to production.


Responsibilities

  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Provide service management governance for the IT organization for release management, change management, incident management and problem management.
  • Accountable for validation, change, and release management, the release planning schedule, and change control for both planned and emergency changes.
  • Manage the creation and/or improvement of service management policies and procedures.
  • Work with delivery teams and suppliers to ensure BJC service management policies and procedures are adhered to; ensure service monitoring by internal and external teams follows BJC policies and procedures.
  • Participates in and may lead the planning and design of relevant process improvement and changes.

    Degree

  • Bachelor's Degree
