Progress West HealthCare Center opened in February 2007 in one of the fastest-growing areas of St. Charles County. Progress West uses hospital design, clinical practices and technology to support the delivery of patient-centered care.
 

The Surgical Services department includes 3 ORs. We provide a full range of surgery programs -- inpatient or outpatient, general or specialty -- in an environment that promotes healing. Surgical services include by not limited to: General surgery, ENT, Orthopedics, Urology, Colorectal, Gynecology, Gastrointestinal (GI), Plastic surgery. This department, along with all departments within the hospital, supports the guiding principles of the hospital in providing care that is customized and reflects the patient's needs, values, and choices.

Role Purpose

Directs patient care operations for Surgical Services. Role models service excellence and builds teams that collaborate with others to serve and exceed the expectations of the hospital customers, patients and families. Champions pro-active employee relations, manages conflict and/or change toward a productive outcome. Strives for continuous improvement and business results that meet/exceed every customer's expectation.


Responsibilities

  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Plans, develops, and directs functions of surgical services.
  • Develops overall goals for surgical services in collaboration with administration and surgeons.
  • Analyzes trends and statistics to promote efficient utilization of operating rooms and other surgical services resources.
  • Directs all aspects of clinical care to assure quality in care.

  • Minimum Requirements

     

    Degree

  • Master's Degree
  • - Bus/HC Admin/Nursing/related

     

    Experience

  • 5-10 years
  •  

    Supervisor Experience

  • 5-10 years
