Role Purpose

Responsible for portfolio management for Patient Care Systems, working closely with leaders, administrators and project managers to ensure alignment of all projects/initiatives, as well as the management of timelines and program deliverables involving clinical workforce initiatives across BJC. Analyzes and manages risks and interdependencies within/across projects and formulates solutions/contingency plans in consultation with stakeholders. Assists PCS leaders in developing strategic direction regarding operating models in response to BJC senior leadership and organizational requirements for project, program, portfolio and continuous improvement efforts. Provides expert advice and contribution for rollouts, implementation and development of sustainment/control plans for solutions. Utilizes project/program/portfolio management in combination with continuous improvement/transformation in order to accomplish business objectives. Identifies, performs or manages tasks related to defining and measuring problems and undesired outcomes/metrics. Has financial responsibility to determine best value approach for services and support. Builds collaborative teams that strive for continuous improvement and business results that meet/exceed every customer's expectation.


Responsibilities

  • Manages multiple complex projects, overseeing collaborations between cross-functional stakeholder teams for timely, successful achievement of goals. Serves as leadership liaison for stakeholders. Manages matters of policy and institutional significance on behalf of PCS leadership as appropriate.
  • Develops overarching strategies related to portfolio optimization to govern the portfolio and set a foundation for master plans and individual asset strategies. Identifies opportunities for portfolio optimization, cost saving and improved ROI in the PCS portfolio.
  • Manages and maintains portfolio level budget through cost management, vendor management and efficient resource utilization. Ensure tracking of key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of the project.
  • Leads, participates in and advises on strategic initiatives in collaboration with PCS leaders. Responsible for partnering to develop strategic direction regarding operating models in response to BJC senior leadership and organizational requirements for project, program, portfolio and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Oversees portfolio management and project deliverables to ensure alignment of PCS initiatives and maintenance of timelines and deliverables in conjunction with other CCE workstreams. Utilizes outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills and an ability to work effectively with people at all levels within an organization.
