Role Purpose

Develops and manages a high performing value analysis process for existing products and new product requests within respective utilization category that ensures system wide consistency on implementation, standardization, and process for supplies across the system.


Responsibilities

  • Builds relationships with physicians and operational leaders within respective utilization category and facilitates system teams of multidisciplinary clinical experts responsible for product selection and utilization decisions.
  • Oversees and organizes comprehensive product analysis and implementation plans aimed at optimal utilization and standardization. Collaborates with physicians, other clinicians, internal and external non-patient care professionals to identify unrealized opportunities and determine the potential impacts and essential elements of the plan.  
  • Identifies industry benchmarks for practice and product comparison. Leads and supports benchmarking analysis through appropriate clinical and professional organizations, practice standards, clinical evidence and published literature for comparison.
  • Leads data mining and analysis via multiple internal and external sources for identifying utilization and practice trends, opportunities, alternative products, practice and product variation, and decision compliance. 
  • Creates, maintains, and documents chosen product standards supporting the development of a product formulary.
  • Participates in the management of key vendors.

    Degree
