Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer care, and women’s and infants’ services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

The Medical Staff Office provides support to the medical staff at Missouri Baptist Medical Center including credentialing and privileging resources and coordination of the Medical Executive Committee.

Role Purpose

Coordinates the credentialing and privileging process of medical and allied health professional staff members.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and administers the credentialing and privileging process of medical staff members and allied health providers.
  • Prepares credentialing documents and reviews applications to ensure privileges requested meet requirements.
  • Administers and coordinates contract management, scheduling and billing programs.
  • Processes medical staff status changes.
  • Provides medical staff education and facilitates meetings with management as it relates to the medical staff and credentialing process.

    Degree

  • High School Diploma or GED
