Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College is a private nursing college that enrolls over 600 students in its baccalaureate, masters and doctoral degree programs. Role Purpose

The Visiting Instructional Faculty member will augment or complement existing regular faculty positions by providing classroom and/or on-line instruction in subject matter areas needed to meet the mission of the College. Faculty members are responsible for fulfilling and sustaining the duties and functions of the role as specified by the appropriate Academic Chair, Associate Dean, or their designee. The body of work may include preparation for and delivery of course content development of examinations or other methods of assessment, grading of said assessments and individual student counseling.


  • Uses technology to enhance and optimize student learning outcomes
  • Completes and submits student assessments and evaluations consistent with College standards
  • Responsible for instruction, supervision and evaluation of student performance in various settings
  • Teaches a large cohort of students in primarily classroom/online settings and/or mentors graduate work.
  • Provides leadership and direction to clinical faculty and/or simulation staff associated with the course.
