Role Purpose

Designs research studies and data plans. Analyzes and interprets research data. Assists with presenting and publishing research data and study results. Teaches statistics at the doctoral level and mentors doctoral students and faculty.


  • Uses statistical methodologies to inform research study designs and calculate power analyses. Performs data analysis by using the latest and best methodologies.
  • Teaches statistics classes as appropriate to graduate students and DNP and PhD students.
  • Analyzes nursing research data and interprets research study results. Assists with preparation of study findings for presentations and publications.
  • Serves on Doctor of Nursing Practice Project Teams and PhD dissertation Committees to mentor doctoral students in statistics as part of the team and/or committee.
  • Serves on external faculty nursing research grants as a co-investigator responsible for the research design, statistical analysis, and interpretation of the study results.
