Role Purpose

Directs and manages all database operations, including strategies for the direct mail program, commemorative giving program, and stewardship upgrades for all annual donors. Supervises database operations including data entry, receipting, reporting, tracking and analyses of data related to donors, contributions, and trends. Develops and controls system improvements, policies, and procedures.


Responsibilities

  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Develops and manages all direct response fund raising activities, focusing on strategy, renewals, and prospecting for both direct mail and commemorative giving.
  • Manages all aspects of the donor and prospect database used to compile, analyze, and report donor, prospect, and giving data, including writing and enforcing security policies for usage. Responsible for and oversees the on-line donations for the Foundation.
  • Manages the purchasing, maintenance and repair of all Foundation computers, software, printers and office equipment.
  • Manages the daily deposits of cash into the Foundation‘s account and acts as liaison with financial institutions to ensure accurate and timely deposits.
  • Promotes active and broad participation by volunteers in raising planned gifts.
