Role Purpose

Responsible for developing and implementing occupational health programs and projects, including Ergonomics, Shared Services Occupational Health, Campus Renewal Occupational Health and Occupational Health Float Nurses throughout BJC HealthCare.


Responsibilities

  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Plans, implements, supervises and evaluates educational programs for specific clinical areas related to work-related injuries and illnesses.
  • Collaborates with all occupational health departments to design, implement, and recommend strategies to reduce work-related injuries as well as risks across the continuum of care.
  • Assists in surveillance, analysis, and reporting of work-related injuries.
  • Develops and manages Quality Improvement activities.

    Degree
