Role Purpose

Reporting to the Director for Simulation and Instructional Technology, the Simulation Lead will function as a faculty member serving in the simulation laboratory environment. Roles will include developing clinical cases tied to curricular needs, ensuring sound pedagogy at the level of student progression, engaging in simulation activities, and providing instruction in select courses and/or simulation cases to augment/supplement faculty needs. Further, this role will provide faculty orientation and development, and helps the Director maintain an innovative simulation environment for teaching and learning.


Responsibilities

  • Supports student success through development and implementation of effective simulation and other teaching strategies to achieve learning/course objectives.
  • Prepares and maintain simulation lab reservation calendar and assign tasks related to the Simulation Lifecycle to simulation staff: full-time, part-time, and temporary.
  • Participates in the development and/or selection of course materials, equipment, and technology that will enhance simulation services.
  • Ensures appropriate equipment and supplies are available for successful teaching and learning in the Simulation labs and provides feedback to the Director about day to day operations and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Conducts program evaluation research as part of the curriculum evaluation program. May assist in other research activities linked to the Office of Research.
