Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College is a private nursing college that enrolls over 600 students in its baccalaureate, masters and doctoral degree programs. Barnes-Jewish College is housed in a nationally recognized educational facility with state-of-the-art classrooms, lecture halls and a Clinical Simulation Institute with six patient simulation labs and two exam rooms providing high-tech, advanced nursing care experiences. It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and is fully approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.

Role Purpose

Manages and leads a major program or set of programs established to address specialized needs within the College and community. Serves as point of collaboration, leadership, and expertise to both internal and external constituencies. Provides advanced professional/technical leadership, consultation and expertise as well as functional management. Identifies and establishes funding, and provides operational planning, budgeting and assessment for grants.


  • Assess and identify new business opportunities and provide direction, establish goals, develop and manage work plans.
  • Leads the identification, evaluation and negotiation processes for business opportunities ranging from acquisitions to alliances and coordinates activities for the organization.
  • Collaborates with members of the leadership team and external consultants to conduct market research, perform evaluations, identify specific business launch approaches, perform analysis and prepare executive presentation.
  • Communicating a company's strategy internally and externally so that all stakeholders understand the companywide strategic plan and how it carries out the company's overall goals.
  • Direct special projects and programs as initiated by the President and articulates the company’s mission in a clear and concise way that can speak to individuals and employees at all levels; represents University/College at appropriate internal and external forums.
